Yet again looking around at all the many things going on in the world it really strikes me that it's ALL bullshit. We actually do have enough. Of everything. For everybody. Mankind WON.
All we had to do is not give in to our worst instincts and we'd have been golden.

Regardless of what any government minister says, if you're struggling with mental illness, have a suspicion that you have ADHD, autism, both, try not to be disheartened. It's a worthwhile process and as someone coming out the other side the only thing I wish is that I'd done it sooner.

Back in January I'd never have thought I'd be saying this come December but the best movie I've seen in 2025 BY FAR is K-Pop Demon Hunters.
A few predictable story beats (to me, at 40, with ADHD) but very well done.
Best animation since Across The Spider-Verse.
Incredible soundtrack.

Back in January I'd never have thought I'd be saying this come December but the best movie I've seen in 2025 BY FAR is K-Pop Demon Hunters.

I'd missed the writing community but not the p*rn bots. I remember when I was at a low point and kept getting those, usually accounts made to look like real people. Silly really but some algorithm deciding you look a bit sad and like a potential John isn't nice when you're down.

As I near forty-one years of age I don't feel a midlife crisis approaching. What I do feel, which is probably something to do with ADHD meds as well, is the desire to take a year's sabbatical and let out an absolute primal scream of all the things I've wanted to do.

And this morning we sit frozen in Tesco carpark because we have far too much to do with no time or budget to speak of, and achieving the improbable is not helped by four hours of poor sleep.

I've now seen the end of Guillermo Del Toro's Frankenstein and it all but moved me to tears. As someone who lives with trauma and also a great deal of regret, this was an adaptation that affected me deeply. Utterly beautiful, and a triumph for everyone involved. I'd doff my hat if I was wearing one.
