Udo Kier has passed away at 81. A singular screen presence, Kier had a long history in the horror genre, starring in films including Mark of the Devil, Andy Warhol's Frankenstein, Blood for Dracula, Blade, Feardotcom, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and Dario Argento's Mother of Tears.

I'm watching Road House again. I've seen this movie maybe 7 or 8 times and I'm pretty sure I like it but if you put a gun to my head I could not explain what the story is to you.

I thought Rick Steves' Europe was cooked but Season 13 is the best in years. A boozy Burgundy river barge cruise and a visit to a Turkish bath? Well worth the PBS Passport subscription.
