I share this wish.
Praying for the two soldiers attacked yesterday in DC and for calm and compassion toward the tens of thousands of Afghan refugees making this country better each day.

Let us not react in a way that causes them to live in fear.

Disgusting disavowal of institutional fingerprints that transcend administration. The withdrawal from Afghanistan was obligated by the Trump administration executed under Biden. The refugee came in under Biden but was granted asylum under Trump.

I need everybody to read this and understand what’s going on. These are spouses of US citizens in the country legally. They have entry clearance and green cards, they’ve passed background checks and have no criminal records. ICE is taking them anyway.

What is the justification for sending 500 more national guardsmen to DC? If there is a need for increased policing, support law enforcement. Military deployment is not called for given the provocation.
November 26, 2025 at 11:18 PM
Every time the military is deployed there is risk. The risk must be calculated in the decision to deploy. The cost can be measured in lives. Why again were they deployed to DC?

We are in a bizarre moment of diplomatic history. The purported "peace plan" that appeared a few days ago begins in Russian unreality and American weakness. Demanding everything of Ukraine and nothing of Russia, its purpose is imperialism and profiteering.

This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.
