I've been wondering what to do about the aphids on my tamarillo plant, but I've waited long enough that the ladybirds have found them and are sorting out the problem for me.

On this topic. I did a subject this semester which had an 8 week placement, which was pass/fail. There was also a pass/fail essay for the subject, which you were given one extra attempt at if you failed. You didn't find out the essay retry mark until after the 8 week placement was finished. 😐
Nah. Students use it partly because they're lazy but also because University (and school) is not about learning. It's about maximising grades
If it were really about learning you'd be allowed to keep doing assignments until you get a passing grade

This is a pretty good summary of the state of AI in universities at the moment.
Finally got to the "I want to burn it all down" portion of the gen AI-era semester, where I realize they're all using some sort of LLM to "help" organize their thoughts and it's just spitting out raw sewage onto the screen.
