Remember, the big argument for AI in the arts is that these “artists” have ideas, hundreds of ideas, thousands, all that was stopping them was the hoards of gatekeeping musicians, writers, illustrators… and not that they were lazy and didn’t want to put in the work.

I see YouTube has added a "Most Relevant" list to the subscriptions tab of their Apple TV app.

So to all the creators on that platform relying on audience subscribing to find your content, *congratulations*, YouTube has added yet *another algorithm* to sort your videos into unviewable oblivion. 🤷

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

I regularly have lulls where I don’t do much reading, only to later realize it was because I wasn’t really engaged with what I was reading at the time.

Fortunately and unfortunately, this is a lesson I have to relearn over and over.
