Got 4 models painted up with just a white primer and then finished with Speedpaints. Here’s the side by side. Overall, probably going Slapchop for Beastmen and Orcs, white primer for Tomb Kings and Dwarfs. Maybe.

And finally here's the Dwarf Ranger. I dig the model, but again he's pretty dark - perhaps too dark. But the slapchop helps with the speed by again covering up mistakes and casting the whole thing in the contrasting shadows. I'm happy enough with this guy.

Here's the Gor from the Beastmen. The slapchop I think really helps with the flesh tones, but I think his fur needs a bit more contrast from the rest of the model. The white drybrush at the end does help here, perhaps more than the other models.

Here's the Orc Boy. The white drybrush comes off as kind of washing out the colors, perhaps a bit too much, but I guess that's a tradeoff for the slapchopped method. Not bad, but dark. Maybe a drybrush of a very light brown instead?

Here are the pics for the Tomb Kings Skeleton Warrior in the three phases. Slapchopped base, Speedpaints applied, and finally a white drybrush at the end. The bone did not come through clearly, but ... ehhh? It's just a skelly boi so I think it's fine. The blue and red look nice enough. 7/

Here's the 4 models I decided to test, all slapchopped up. Pretty simple lineup for each army, and my goal was to keep the number of paints needed for coverage on each model to 5. I almost succeeded (the Gor had to have 6). 6/

Just messing around with some dwarven terrain I printed out years ago. Need to add in more walls.

Got my maggoth lord painted up! One single model but the tongue and rider are magnetized so it can be Orghotts Daemonspew, Bloab Rotspawned, or Morbidex Twiceborn. #warhammer #painttable

In the aftermath, all we have our the memories of what happened.

If it’s Wednesday, it must be #DnD! Final session of my current arc with the PCs set to confront the mastermind behind their lycanthropic troubles - OR ARE THEY?!?!

I have embarked upon a quest. A foolish quest? Time will tell. The quest is to paint all of the minis in my board game collection. Perhaps that shall inspire me to play more of them? Who knows? I’m starting with the RPG adjacent games. Talisman (3rd Ed I believe) was first!

Whew! Dragon Mountain is painted and done, at least to my personal liking. Lots of surface area but mostly it was a series of drybrushes over black primer - heavy brush of gray, then progressively lighter drybrushing of olive and alabaster. Hoping to bring this to a con in 2026, maybe Gamehole Con!

Decided to start painting the Dragon Mountain today. Primed black, then successive series of drybrushing - gray, olive, and alabaster. Matches my volcanic terrain too so that’s nice. Top done, just 4 more levels to go!

Ufffffda! This was a big ‘un. Presented here is the Dragon Cave, a 3d print I’ve been working on for a few months. It’s quite tall, but the interior is mostly open, with a single side passage with roof access accessible through a path around the side. So big! #dnd #3dprint

Sadly my 3.0 PHB has been lost to neglect and malfeasance. I have a 3.5 PHB hanging out in the shelf, but I’ve also got this from 25 years ago! Todd Lockwood really defined the 3E era D&D look more than any other artist.

Have I shared this? I don't think I have, so might as well now! I'm tinkering on a #dnd Myth Drannor adventure/setting for #dmsguild now, and a key component of that is the map. Here's what I've got so far! 1/8

Big pig in DA HOUSE! Got this tuskboss assembled, still need to get a maw-grunta gouger built, both for a Regiment of Renown to enhance my “kunnin’ but brutal” Kruleboyz #aos army

Who knows if I’ll ever actually *play* a game of Warhammer Old World. In the meantime, I’m having fun assembling models, and I can’t wait to get them painted. Love me some classic WH orc goodness! #amassembling #WHTOW #TOW

Dragon on the paint table today! This is the Demon Dragon from CMON Massive Darkness game (2 I think?). Digging the purples, can’t wait to paint up the cadre of cultists in similar color schemes. #ampainting

Starting up a mini #dnd campaign this Sunday. Casual kind of thing, the type of game I can pull out with little notice. The premise is basically Monster Hunter but D&D, where the PCs hunt a big behemoth monster somewhere in the planes. They’ll have this sweet looking wagon with a ballista to help!

A little stroll down memory lane here with some #ttrpg indy comics from the late 90s. All classics!

Second and related map is an expanded region view around Monmurg, which catches a big chunk of the Hool Marshes. Also puts Saltmarsh on the map too which is pretty cool. Party moves into the Hool Marshes to rescue a captured soothsayer with knowledge of the Passage of Slerotin

Map sharing time! The #dnd #Greyhawk campaign I'm working on takes the PCs to Monmurg in the Hold of the Sea Princes. As far as I could find, no official map exists for Monmurg so I put one together. The city is built on a high peninsula with the slope descending to the sea level.
