Software quality and security person. Avid airplane and car enjoyer. Western Nevada. Goes camping in the desert at least twice a year.

Loves his dogs and cats, has too many things on his plate.

Lives in a shack in the woods.
Fuck it, let’s pretend the microwave was never invented and make dark roux the old-fashioned way that left maw maw with those scars

“Dad there is a really weird big dog outside.”

Imagine if this article had actually explored how much snow we have on the ground for the past several Thanksgiving holidays.

We’ve had more snow before Thanksgiving this year than we’ve had since the pandemic, save a single year.

A movie that’s takes place where I’m from? Sure.

You couldn’t pay me enough to work there, but maybe it’s worth wasting their time to find out how much they’d try to pay a highly qualified and irascible person who knows their QA shit backwards and forwards.

This is one that I made in the year 2000 with Fuji Velvia film in 4 x 5 format.

My favorite thing early on a cold morning is starting a fire and waiting two or three minutes for my tuxedo cat to sit on my lap while I enjoy my 1st cup of coffee

Warn your children about these kinds of people. They are unpredictable and capricious. There’s a strong evidence they may also be dishonest.

“This says dog crate, but it is comfy enough for a cat”

Hey, we did it! We saved a comics store! Portland is truly richer for it.

Let’s keep doing it. Do you like books with pictures? Do you like cool spaces that are welcoming to everyone?

Go shop here! Or kick them some cash.

Got a 1962 Columbia console stereo?

Oh look, it is my set of bespoke, re-engineered timing chain guide parts for a 25 year-old BMW V8 engine.

It’s because car and driver’s account minder is sad that they admitted not having the wise judgement of a kid who checks his lug nuts at his first track day.

I remember back in the 1980s and 1990s when C/D would absolutely rip a company to shreds over the kind of shit that Tesla gets away with here.

“No changes in 10 years? Didn’t finish building the car? I guess it’s not terrible if we want to keep our access.” is how this reads.

I’m sure letting an increasingly wide number of imperfect or gravely flawed software stacks do our thinking for us hasn’t impacted human discovery.

I really wish more E 34’s had survived what appears to be a mass extinction and then to the end of the 1990s

Here is the only one I’ve seen in a couple of months on Haight Street.

“I am making a hundred people behind me wait because I’m going the same speed as people in the #2 and #3 lane” is too much for a bumper sticker.
