I have a guess -- maybe the intent was to combine boats of immigrants/refugees with the stable where Christ was born? Meant to be a message about welcoming the stranger? Some of the boats look kinda like mangers and most of the people seem coded as "other" from the pov of white Europeans.

I’m actually being quite serious here. Fascism is about keeping people emotionally dysregulated, especially through the reinforcement of shame, and offering them relief through mass conformity. That’s why fascism is so opposed to empathy, authenticity and queerness

They were funny, respected, well-loved activists. They were rightfully scared about what COVID could do to them. They were “the vulnerable”—chronically ill Black women who needed $$ for healthcare costs—the government wanted, and wants, us to find acceptable to abandon. They knew what was happening.
