"We need a positive vision of the future for young men"

*Slides over a folder outlining Automated Vegan AI Communism with Frutiger Aero aesthetics*

"You misunderstood me - I was just complaining about young men. Stop taking everything so seriously."
Now that's fuckin' funny.

"Oh gee oh boy I sure hope poor food quality doesn't lead to any kind of uprising..."

Something humans subjected to poor food quality while in bondage are notorious for
"I am scared for my life, and the life of our officers who are asked to hand out these horrible meals ... My prayer is that myself or any of our officers are not assaulted because of these meals."
It’s not just that prison meals are bland and unappetizing — though they often are.

In lawsuits and news reports, kitchen workers at prisons in Arizona, Oregon, and elsewhere reported seeing boxes of food that were served to prisoners marked: “not for human consumption.”

Prison Food Is a Growing Billion-Dollar Industry. Many Meals Are Inedible.
As private food providers' contracts grow, the meager and moldy portions behind bars have forced some people to eat toothpaste and toilet paper.

Usually this means it's pet or animal grade feed

For example - bird seed cakes, squirrel peanuts, and animal bones sold as dog chews are marked this way

Senseless violence and mass murder
Turkey has been a Thanksgiving staple for centuries, and the USDA estimates that about 46 million are killed just for the holiday.

Well the Nazis are in control of global manufacturing and production now - so yes, I think I'll keep trusting them when they say: "We intend to replace all your jobs with robots within 2 generations."
Good to know you love Nazis and take their every word as gospel. 😂

The people in natural resource management would, if they knew the truth, tell you to stop destroying nature for meat production.

Not even inherently true - other plant-based meats didn't score as high in this study but plant-based nuggets did very well - so there is hope.

Taste is not the primary problem at all - cultural bias is. Attempting to frame this as some issue where taste trumps ethics and climate justice.

It boggles the mind
If people won't eat a burger made of pea protein, what makes everyone think that a vat grown slurry will have people running to consume it? Just don't eat meat!

No because those are just carbon emissions whereas animal agriculture is responsible for the wholesale destruction of the natural world - and that destruction prevents the natural sequestration of carbon by the planet itself - climate collapse is far more dangerous

More than 300 lobbyists for industrial agriculture and the meat and dairy sector have taken part in #COP30 to greenwash their deforestation and emissions.

The Amazon needs protection, not PR. Leaders must back Indigenous and local communities and end deforestation now.

So do plant-based meats - and we can scale plant-based meat production much quicker than waiting for labs to get cultured meat prices down

There are no good reasons not to do this - people are just afraid of change

Plant-based meats score competitively in blind tests

The fuck is Bill on about?

Part of the emissions from cows isn't just methane - it's land use change and the lost carbon sequestration potential from burning down rainforests for cattle grazing pastures

You can't fix the cows because they would still be a problem without enteric fermentation
Who wants to watch me lose my shit completely

Had an older coworker sincerely ask about my Veganism today haha

I've actually had a lot of acceptance at work about it since everyone found out - I think kind of in a novelty way though? People are just legitimately surprised when you tell them you've been plant-based for years.

Oh my fucking god these ignorant fucking Fascists

They're in such denial about things having changed in the world

Imagine going back in time and legislating against this woman's childhood "paper doll addiction" or whatever kids used to enjoy back then

I gotta pull pumpkin guts out of my pumpkins tomorrow but at least it isn't dead bird guts
Pulling the ‘giblets’ out of the bird corpse before you cook it. Fn gross. Seriously people, learn to see your food choices for what they are -tortured, dead animals who very much wanted to live.
