The EU doesn’t have to take any steps (baby or any other type).

Our rules are clear.

The UK doesn’t qualify for membership under the Copenhagen criteria.

No new applicants get opt outs from the EU acquis.

Brexit is like smoking - not the only cause of lung cancer, not a "silver bullet" in preventing LC, & doesn't mean you don't have other lung cancer comorbidities that need addressing

But giving up smoking is always better for your health

The only ppl who don't think so are smokers

Keir Starmer to have sex with England flag on top of Fourth Plinth to "reclaim English identity"
Calls to ‘reclaim the flag’ amid a ‘never-ending fight’ again simply tar English identity uniquely with the far right. It risks alienating the very English identifiers Labour needs to win. They don’t see themselves as far right; it sounds like Labour does. www.thesun.co.uk/news/3459195...
Sir Keir issues rallying cry to 'reclaim our flag' for St George’s Day

Beaming this idea directly into Zack Polanski's brain - politicians who use PFI should be made to stand trial for defrauding the state.
At the Budget, the Chancellor just announced 250 new Neighbourhood Health Centres...

... but didn't mention their decision to use private finance to fund them 🧐

Why? Are they ashamed of their plan to resurrect the corpse of PFI in our NHS? They should be. #AutumnBudget

Rachel Reeves exit date:

2026 8/13

2025 3/1

2027 8/1

2028 20/1

2029 Or Later 25/1
Rachel Reeves is a formidable woman.

I believe she will slowly turn the finances of the country around and will be in a strong position for big tax cuts from 2027 onwards, once things have stabilised.

Many people will eat their words in a few years.

Correct. Brexit is far from done.

Brexit wasn’t an event. Brexit is an ongoing, cumulative process.
It is only going to get worse. A lot worse.

”Peak Brexit” will be during the 2040s, when the economy falls behind Bulgaria. By then London will be pounding on Brussels’s door begging to be let in.
Brexit is far from done.

When you land at GIB (airport or sea ports, I'd assume) your passport+right to enter Schengen will be checked by Spanish authorities on behalf of 🇪🇺/Schengen (a little like juxtaposed controls in 🇫🇷 to 🇬🇧 and in 🇬🇧 to 🇫🇷, I suppose). I'm sure if a Brit Nat intends to reside here, they'll ask questions. 🙂

STARMER’S LABOUR IS DOING PUTIN’S WORK!

Putin must have been fretting that all the hard work he’d put into getting Brexit done would be wasted if Labour won the 2024 election. He needn’t have worried. Along trots Starmer, our turkey of a prime minister, who picks up the Brexit baton.

Starmer making catastrophic error. It is not the far right taking his votes, it is the pro-European parties (Grn+LD+SNP+PC).

Voting intention of GE2024 Labour voters (YG; 23-24 November):

Lab 52%
Grn* 17%
LD* 12%
Ref 8%
Con 6%
SNP* 1%
PC* 1%
oth 2%

Loss to pro-EU* = 31%
Loss to far right = 14%
