“The white man is very clever. He came quietly and peaceably with his religion. We were amused at his foolishness and allowed him to stay. Now he has won our brothers, and our clan can no longer act like one. He has put a knife on the things that held us together and we have fallen apart.”

Who you keep close matters.
The wrong relationship or circle can quietly rewrite your story. It can leave you questioning your worth and doubting your own reflection. But the right people restore you. They remind you of your strength and help you return to yourself with grace.

This year changed my life.
I lost both my husband and my sister to cancer. The horrific reality revealed just how hard it is for families to navigate all aspects of cancer at the same time. While information is abundant, it’s often fragmented, overly technical, & emotionally draining.

Disabled people deserve more than the bare minimum to survive (not that many even get that)...

They deserve to have enough to try and find their best quality of life, to have support, and whatever they need to manage their health.

They deserve to be and feel safe.

As a priest who's been a priest longer than you have, I tell you, it is disrespectful of the dead to lie about them, even if the lies make them seem nicer or better. In giving memorials, it's difficult, but possible to tell the truth without insulting the deceased.

So… wait…

Does this mean anybody can just…

Put a bounty on any head of state?

As long as it’s, you know, justifiable?

Because I’ve got receipts…

I’ll just start a GoFundMe.

Weighing in at 827 pages and 2 1/4 inches, our Oxford Handbook of American and British Women Philosophers in the 19th Century is HERE! Huge thanks to @oupphilosophy.bsky.social and our 50+ authors. Restoring women to the philosophical canon is a matter of justice, but it is also better scholarship!

This is amazing news, but I'm already seeing people reacting to the fact that bluebird bio's 'Lyfgenia' treatment costs between $2 & $3 million.

When you think of "cure" or "treatment", you're probably picturing a bottle of pills. That's not what this is.
