I really like the (re)interpretation of vampires in the Craft Sequence. I like the interpretation of a lot of things in it, including lichs, dragons, and gods, but something about the vampires is especially compelling to me

It’s that he is promoting a fundamentally pro-rape ideology, and that the permissiveness for rape and entitlement to rape that are core to his worldview are central to his appeal for men.

Wasn’t expecting this novel to have a character with anorexia, let alone for it to be expressed so appropriately for the situation (it’s not the focus of the story, they’re just a character with it). Kinda heartbreaking to me, each scene it manifests
