Honestly, the response to Arc Raiders has been disappointing. It's not just the voice acting, they're also using gen AI to produce weapons.

I guess most people just don't care as long as the game is fun in the end.

Am I in the minority for caring about authenticity in the development of games?

Not to be the fun police but I do hope people know that Arc Raiders does use generative AI for voice acting, and by supporting the game you're letting higher-ups know that this is an okay practice.

They try to downplay this on the Steam store page by describing the AI usage as vaguely as possible.

I started a new job as a programmer at Blackbird Interactive! Really happy to be joining a very friendly team over there working on a cool project. 😄

I'm not sure what this will mean for Pinball Spire and other indie projects but I'd like to try to continue working on that stuff as well!
