On my recent trip we wound up being delayed for 6 days because of weather issues. Now my luggage has been delayed for an equal amount of time. Apparently one of our bags is back here the other is supposedly in Copenhagen, although in 6 days time no one has put it on a plane yet.

Our vacation wound up being extended for an extra six days due to flight cancellations, last one occurring after we had already taken the train to the Airport. So we were rebooked, Norway to Denmark to Heathrow to home. Except SAS didn’t actually the ticket for last leg 1

We have been rebooked 3 times and are delayed by 6 days flying out. I have a text from delta telling us that the weather forecast looks dodgy and we might cancel you again. 12 hours to check in. There is mountain hiding back there. I’ve been checking our flight status at least once an hour.

Since our hosts are stuck with us unexpectedly for 3 extra days due to airline issues they have put a bird feeder for me to watch. It’s like the cat sitting beside the aquarium. I will stay here all day with occasional trips to the coffee machine.

I oh so carefully packed my drug case for my weekend at MFF, to bad I didn’t check the case to make sure it had my drugs in them. Thank you @dhstein.bsky.social for swinging by to pick them up! Otherwise I would’ve had a panic attack. No wait, Xanax is the only drug I actually have with me :)

We handed out Canadian candy and some of the kids recognized it and asked for extras of their favourites. One set of kids came by twice, I made them tell me they were rooting for the Blue Jays before handing over the Smarties.

Me-makes stock, buys some local tomatoes and roasts them up with onions and a head of garlic and purées the lot and serves with fresh basil. Then I made some cheesy bacon scones to with the soup. Why I am like this?
