Fighting for the people, lands, water, and farms of Northern & Western Colorado ⛰️. Husband. Dad of two awesome kids. Attorney. Proud Coloradan.

Incredibly honored to be named by the Center for Effective Lawmaking as the most effective House Democrat for advancing environment & public lands policy!

Last year, 8 of my bills were signed into law — the 2nd most in the U.S. House — & I’ll keep delivering results for Western & Northern Colorado.
Five years ago, to prevent misuse of national security surveillance tools, Attorney General Bill Barr created an Office of Internal Auditing at the FBI.

And this year FBI Director Patel eliminated it.

Ridiculous.

I’ve led the effort for YEARS to prohibit Members of Congress from trading stocks. That’s why yesterday I signed a bipartisan discharge petition to force a vote on the House Floor.

Enough is enough.

Ban it!

If your legislation requires the government to study “energy supply chains,” maybe you should start by not eliminating the “office of energy supply chains” — which the Trump administration just did last month!

This week, House Republicans are prioritizing legislation requiring a government agency “study” energy supply chains.

What they fail to mention is the Trump administration eliminated the agency last month!

UPDATE — My legislation to reauthorize the Secure Rural Schools program has passed the House!

Grateful to all who helped us get this vital legislation for rural Colorado across the finish line.
🚨NEWS:

After I led a bipartisan coalition calling for immediate action, the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act has been scheduled for a vote next week!

Proud to have led the push in getting this crucial lifeline for rural communities in Western Colorado and beyond to the House floor.

Dem Rep Joe Neguse has signed on to R Rep Luna's discharge petition to bring bill to ban stock trading by members to floor for a vote. Neguse has been working on this issue for years and says he'll "utilize every tool to get our legislation across the finish line." #copolitics

As energy costs skyrocket, the Trump administration’s solution is apparently a useless advisory “National Coal Council” which, incidentally — 9 months later — still has no members! 🤦🏽‍♂️

As Trump’s economic policies and tariffs devastate small businesses and American families — House Republicans have proposed a solution:

A new government complaint “hotline.”

Apparently, the dozen of hotlines that already exist were insufficient.
