It was really fun to talk to journalist Alesandra Tejeda out in the Rockaways for this @nygroove.nyc story. Love the subhead too.
In 'Bird City,' looking up isn't just for tourists

the 'crunchy to maga pipeline' is real but we also need to talk about the 'hippie to AI slop fan' pipeline

one time i worked a 'climate week' comedy show in the LES and 3 of the comics had bits about how hard it was to find parking outside the venue; one had a whole crowd work set he had to abandon based around asking the crowd 'what kind of car do you drive'
What is motonormativity? I'm on my way to an air pollution event in a city centre and the organisers have put the driving directions ahead of the public transport directions in the email

being tricked into using AI on Google and Instagram is really driving me crazy; more so when i think about how many people just fall into using it all the time because they are being tricked
To me, the biggest tell that AI is massively overvalued is that Big Tech has to keep shoving it in our faces. I just noticed Chrome has a 'Gemini' button at the top of the browser, and I'm getting prompts all over the place, including Zoom, to 'try AI.'

A day in and many shares later, it's clear people agree with my take on this story: we DO be living in a society still nygroove.nyc/why-does-no-...
Society broke down and all, but you really still need to stop at red lights
I can't believe we need to explain this one, but it seems that we really do

I'm in Park Slope too and every day I see a car run a red light almost every block.

Good on @timdonnelly.com & @nygroove.nyc for covering this and the way it's framed. If we can't expect the bare minimum of our fellow citizens, what can we. What does it say these drivers have no respect for others.

My working theory based on people I've known along time and their recent Instagram posts: The Free Press has done an insidious job of telling neurotic upper middle class Jews with victim complexes what they want to hear, and it's made them all nuts.
