The fact that Notre Dame is still complaining about not making the playoffs is embarrassing. Is there really shame in playing in the Gator Bowl or Citrus Bowl? Or do the Irish think that they are above playing in a game called the "Pop Tarts Bowl" even if it is a relatively good non-playoff bowl?

There's no way Notre Dame is going to take the nuclear option and threaten to leave the ACC because its football program (which has a partial schedule deal with the ACC) didn't make the playoffs. They're not going to deprive the ACC of one of its biggest cash cows, right?

The ugly thing about the college football playoff system is that if a non-SEC team loses three games they're out. But when an SEC team does it, that's fine.
