The fan culture of doujinshi in Japan is SO cool and I really wish we had something like that here. Even the CAFs in North America really don't come close to that same specific energy. JP fandoms even set up virtual book events, with little pixel tables.

I would like to be good at writing in the same way I'd like to be good at art, which is very passively. If I get better by doing it, cool, and if I don't. Well. I'm not going to kick my own ass about it.
That said, I'm a lot better at writing than I was a year ago, which is something!

We've accidentally done this thing where we have characters that seem taller/shorter than they are because of who they usually get stuck next to.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
