It’s not utopian to demand that in a world with this kind of technology, that as a moral demand, a society feed, clothe & house its people. A society that doesn’t, with the kind of technology and the wealth we have, is beneath contempt and makes a mockery of all the previous history of civilization.

Everyone is 12
So vague. I agree if you're talking about setting speed limits at 100 mph and disagree if you're talking about setting them at 60. Why should I accept that 60 mph on a highway is the correct speed? Why should someone get to charge me $100 if I exceed that without harming anyone?

Speeding discourse contribution: Chill the fuck out dog, you're driving a kinetic munition and if something goes wrong you're suddenly in a linear approximation of a garbage disposal. Be an adult, leave on time, learn how to manage your damn life.

I need to climb more but all my potential climb partners are really good and I struggle at 5.6 routes. Adit at Smith Rock filtered me hard. The nearest wall is $600 a year (lol), next nearest is a $5 pass but a 40 minute drive away. The big thing though is that I'm slow and bad.

Maybe they're trying to lean hard into tonal dissonance? Silly kids movie veneer over the top of the horrors of the actual story?

Leftists are famous for agreeing with eachother.
Bill Maher: "One of my big complaints about the left has been 'The One True Opinion'. There is the one true opinion. And when you deviate from that, it's so ironic, the people who absolutely hate bullies so much are the biggest fucking bullies in the world."

so, this right here? this is one of the absolutely most lawless, brazenly unconstitutional impeachable offenses ever committed by any president other than trump in the history of our country.

like, this is an open and shut case. and it's a case which targeted *republicans.*
This should be the biggest story in the country right now. The sitting US President was extorting state lawmakers from his own party by threatening to withhold public money if they didn’t gerrymander for him.

I don’t know how else to say it…

This is what the Democratic Party wanted. Anything to open the government again, it doesn't matter what the government is doing, it must be open. They don't care if they look like morons and losers, so long as the state keeps machinating.
Congratulations you fucking morons

generational discourse can be solved once and for all by distinguishing between "remembers no computers", "remembers no personal computers", and "remembers no cell phones". everything before that fought in wars. everything after that is, best case scenario, inventing the borg
we really do exist.
