I need to climb more but all my potential climb partners are really good and I struggle at 5.6 routes. Adit at Smith Rock filtered me hard. The nearest wall is $600 a year (lol), next nearest is a $5 pass but a 40 minute drive away. The big thing though is that I'm slow and bad.

Costco used to sell these things (and sometimes might in places like Montana and Colorado), 700 fill power, surprisingly warm. They weighed around 14oz each, mine is lighter which is odd. Based on the size of mine, it would take maybe 1.5 of these to cover the inside of my X-dome.

Watching a video on the base camp for Ama Dablam and these tents got my brain in full DIY'er mode. It's just quilted static insulation under a hardshell outer. How effective can this be? Can i modify a cheap down blanket with clips and insulate my backpacking tent for winter this way?

The middle section is as wide and is taller than the room I used as my office, craftspace, and storage for all my outdoor hobbies and tools.

This is the biggest red flag possible. Anyone who spends their life wanting to lead a country is a psychopath that shouldn't be near power. Can't even let them be advisors, too dangerous.

Cooked the turkey spatchcocked this year, but after 5 days int he fridge it was still frozen in the center... Took a hammer and chisel to get the neck out. Wasn't able to break the breast bone either so it was kinda sitting up on the pan. 15lb, cooked in 80 minutes except for the deepest breast.

This is more or less what's happening when you ask an LLM to solve 1+1. At a fundamental level they lack the mechanism to do math, they are not thinking machines.
