'80s cartoons were often preachy and cheesy with ham-fisted 'life lessons".

But this one feels more relevant today than ever before.

Just finished the audiobook. I still love this story. It's like Stephen King's The Mist combined with the hellish, nightmare logic of Fulci's City of the Living Dead.

Currently listening to the #audiobook of Dean Koontz's The Taking.

I read this years ago on it's original release, and it's fun to revisit it again. One of my favourite apocalyptic horror/thrillers.

Watched Tron: Ares last night.

Aesthetically gorgeous, but filled with one dimensional characters, and I wish they had anyone other than Jared Leto in the lead. Leto's performance as Ares felt like a Wish knock-off of Paul Bettany's Vision from the MCU, but with none of the likability or charm.

Currently listening to the audiobook of If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies: The Case Against Superintelligent AI by Eliezer Yudkowsky and Nate Soares.

Probably not the most hopeful thing to listen to on a Friday morning, but hey, let's keep in tone with the rest of 2026

Terminator/Robocop: Kill Human (2011) is still one of the most infuriatingly bad comics I've ever read. It feels like it was written by someone who hates Robocop to a level that I can only assume that someone in a Robocop costume crashed their 8th birthday party and p****d on their cake

"Why else would I have chosen such a disreputable looking cretin? Look at him. No dignity! No manners! And yet, in the Realm of Earth, men like him can amass great wealth, and almost godlike power!"

Just got power back after a power cut took out my area. Hopefully it stays on. I don't need power cuts during freezing weather.

I know it's become one of the mascots of '90s nostalgia, but can we all finally admit that Blockbuster Video kinda sucked?

Local independent rental stores were often cheaper, and would have a better selection of movies, especially older films.

My New Year's Resolution: To make more IRL geeky friends!

13 years ago, I moved away from my hometown and eventually lost contact with almost my entire friend circle. Socialising as an adult is HARD, and right now, having nothing really outside of work and family is affecting my mental health.

Self-care for autistic humans isn’t bubble baths or productivity hacks.

It’s learning to stop negotiating with a nervous system that’s already past capacity.

Care isn’t indulgence.

It’s survival, even thriving, with dignity and grace.
