Even under a best case scenario — Dems take the WH in 2028, ICE and BP are abolished or rebuilt from scratch — we’re still going to have thousands of angry, unemployed, well-armed, MAGA loyalist former immigration cops who have been told for 3-4 years that they’re above the law.

Word up: you want three copies of your most important files. The one you’re editing, the recovery version, and the “oh shit I hope it’s not gone” recovery. The more frequently you sync those (EOD minimum) the better you’ll be.
I've been using Scrivener for 3 years without any issue, but last week the file got corrupted on a JUST finished draft of my first novel. I was able to recover it, but then it happened again last night and I think it's gone. I haven't changed anything with how I've been saving it.

This just doesn’t happen where I live now. I’m not a world traveler (handful, Europe), but hostility seems to be an American value. Here, cars sit in traffic because a parade breaks out. Nobody honks, nobody screams. Attitude is, hey, parade—badass. I’ll get there when I get there.
At Target this morning, I and this young guy were heading toward the same register at the same time. There was a mutual hesitation, but I moved first and got in ahead of him.

I see a lot of people saying this, but it’s just not realistic. The World Cup takes years to prepare for. You can’t just find venues, hotels, flights, tickets, media centers, etc in a few months. Not gonna happen.
The USA isn’t safe enough to host a major multi location sporting event. Relocate the World Cup for next year. #worldcup
