when I was a kid I heard another kid arguing about why he had to do service for others in the gurudwara and his parent was like "if you won't help others what is the point of you" and I've never forgotten that line.

Took the kids to a little winter festival with cute little carnival games. The kid who gets sad if he loses a coin flip won nothing. The kid who literally doesn’t care if he wins at all won everything effortlessly. So guess how my night’s going.
