These two look like females—maybe just a sibling squabble? 😅🪶

An old man showed me a blurry bird photo in the parking lot and asked, “Any idea what this bird is?”
I gave him a half-confident “Maybe a Red-flanked Bluetail?” 😅🪶

I can’t tell if this is the same Robin but I’m thinking this is the male later on….#Birds

It’s troubling to me that I’m seeing individual robins in my yard. Usually, this time of year they join a flock and they fly around together and stop by once a week as a large group.

White crowned sparrow today he’s pretty close to the camera. He’s drinking water. He’s facing away from us, but sort of sideways. #Birds

I never really think of Flicker as fluff balls. #Birds

One of the young male Flickers today is was trying to take a bath at protected for he just looks like a big fluff ball. The camera is really wet.

townsend’s warbler today at the wildlife pond. #Birds

when the camera starts he is hiding while bathing behind a log in the pond. I’m grateful he then comes to the center.

@seattleutilities.bsky.social can I put out extra yard waste. I took out a bush and want to bundle the sticks and put them out. Does that count as one of my 10 bags or is it only leaves?

I will post my real review of this feeder in a month. The only reason I love it right now is Squirrel seems to leave it alone. #FeederWatch red breasted nuthatch followed by black capped chickadee. #Birds

I recall the orange convicted felon once saying people would stand in long lines begging for food if Kamala Harris became President.

Now in 2025 people are seen in Cleveland and other cities standing in long lines for food due to his cruelty.

Endless projection. I hate him.

#Gardening instead of removing leaves, I added leaves from the local Lime trees, standing near the church. The leaves protect the plants in winter, and they also provide good food for insects and compost for the plants in spring.

Did u know? This might look mundane, but leaving areas of grass to grow long & stay long is one of the best things you can do to help small souls in the chilly months. For e.g, many b'fly caterpillars feed on grass throughout the winter - Small Heaths,Meadow Browns & Ringlets,so leave it long. 🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲🐛
