🌱 WOW!! I’ve been seeing similar pics of this flower lately, but this one with a person beside it for scale—AMAZING!!
Earlier on the expedition we found the most beautiful flower, and here, my friends, is the biggest: Rafflesia arnoldi seen in full bloom today in the Sumatran jungle. This is the largest flower on earth and one of the greatest wonders of the natural world.

🌱. Seriously, what do you guys do with bulbs you need to store? I’ve seen everything from paper bag to some peat moss recipe, to sand. I have Dahlias and beautiful yellow bearded irises. I put some dahlias in a paper bag a few weeks ago and this is what I ended up with!

🌱. Damn! I just pulled up all this lantana which I thought was an annual and looked dead! 🤦♀️. I could’ve just cut it back and mulched. Live and learn. The pic is when I planted it. But it had grown and spread so much.

🌱. This is the 1st time I’ve brought a Boston fern inside for the winter! Wish us (Boston and me) luck! So far, it seems happy! We’ve actually had spitting snow here in Nashville today! ❄️

🌱. Y’all know abt the rat problem I’ve battled. I haven’t set out birdseed for 5 months. I’ve done everything I can to eliminate the vermin: wildlife removal, traps, etc. it’s been costly. I believe the rat problem is from roadwork/ waterlines work.

In all honesty, I have a partner/ husband for almost 6 years. He’s a good man. But we can’t/ don’t talk abt current events/ politics, kids/ anything skritchy for the past year. And he is an objectively good man—or has been to me—but the fact that we can’t talk has me chewing a hole in my lip
