60 workers at Ubisoft’s studio in Halifax, Nova Scotia voted to form a union.

In response, Ubisoft announced it was closing the entire studio. Maybe it’s time to look into the millions they get in public money for operating in Canada.

We tried. Sure feels like we're being punished for exercising our rights.

Organizing has easily been one of the more difficult tasks I have undertaken over the years. It has also been, not rewarding, but one of growth which is kind of rewarding but not in the way I wanted.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.
