OK this latest press release from the ICC has seriously pissed me off.

The VERY FIRST World Cup in 1973 was entirely umpired by women.

Maybe pause a minute from puffing yourselves up to read a history book? (I can recommend a good one... 😂)

“As for so-called "civility"-this is 1 more way wealthy white women silence dissent. I refuse to be "civil" in the face of incivil policies & legislation that target working class women. This is class war & deserves to be treated as such. Civility has no place in this attack on the working classes.”
Denying working women equitable wages is, in fact, a very cunty thing to do.

The pay equity amendment legislation looks like, sounds like, and reads like a very anti-women, anti-feminist bill. It's very cunty and so are its architects and supporters.

#nzpol The pay equity decision today – just before Mothers Day – takes employment law back decades. It will likely impact the earnings of hundreds of thousands of women, often working in some of the most poorly paid work. It will cost us all in the long-run. A 🧵 www.beehive.govt.nz/release/chan...

The Transfeminist Manifesto by Emi Koyama @eminism.org is another text I'm glad to have read:

"sex and gender are both socially constructed; furthermore, the distinction
between sex and gender is artificially drawn as a matter of convenience"

The moment Peters and his ilk start addressing our rates of intimate partner violence, sexual violence, pay equity, safeguarding access to abortion…is the moment I say

Well done, now you’re addressing women’s rights.

Cis men are the biggest predators of cis women.

The end.

Learning stuff here everyday. ✨ Did you know that the Great Exhibition here in Ōtepoti Dunedin got more than 3 million visitors? With the last exhibition in 1925 - exactly 100 years ago.

Apparently with all the tram tickets sold, they built the current Dunedin town hall. 😱
