Unactioned ChatGPT tabs are the new browser tabs. I give AI a research task and then take forever to get back to it to read, digest and take action based on what I’ve learned.
this is the holiday week where i finally go through all the open browser tabs... from 2024

The ‘psyops’ revealed by X are entirely the fault of the perverse incentives created by social media monetization programs.

Tried ChatGPT group chat with some friends. What an annoying, needy, know-it-all member of a chat it turns out to be. I had a completely different expectation for a useful interaction model in my head. Let's hope they iterate.

I really wish more scientists & artists were on here. When I go to in-person gatherings it’s really clear what a small sliver of us are here.

And I get it, how many social media collapses do you have to weather before you just give up?

But organizing would be so much easier if we were all here 😭

This chart (which applies even more to social media than it did to TV) lives in my head rent free.

Social media enveloping traditional media means everything and everyone is now competing in the entertainment market. Boring stuff like policy that affects millions of lives doesn’t stand a chance.

Excellent analysis of 'peace plan' (in reality, more likely a plan for a renewed war in a few years, at most). The point about the US acting as a mediator between NATO & Russia reflects something I've noticed about Trump before - he often speaks of NATO as though the US weren't a member. Not good!
Some notable things in what's being called the "Trump peace plan" but which could not have been more clearly written in Moscow if it came with a 2 for 1 deal on tickets to the Bolshoi Ballet. 🧵

Europe's electricity system is changing rapidly and often in places that don't make the headlines.

Look at Estonia - not that long ago and fossil fuels dominated around 90% of electricity generation.

Today solar and wind eat more and more into the share of fossil fuel-generated electricity.

Rückerfolgenttäuschung

The specific emotional collapse that follows the fleeting illusion of progress in a startup, where metrics briefly look promising only to flatline, reverse, or reveal themselves as noise, hype, or a single enterprise pilot that never converts.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.
