Fergus is looking at a shelf with toys when he notices something familiar. It's a cowboy bear plush that's only $5 and missing an eye. It's leaning again a ball that's labelled "BALL 2" that's $30. It's the sequel to ball. There's also a puzzle that says "PUZZLE! 10,000 piece!" that's $3. Don't worry, there's not that many pieces. Eight are missing. Fergus: MAY! Look at this. Augie had a toy bear just like this when was little. Panel 2 Fergus holds up the bear to show May. He thoughts are on the childhood of his now adult son, August. They're at the popular thrift store "THRIFT 2 GO" where everything is either way 2 cheap or way 2 expensive. Fergus: He carried it everywhere. You think he still has it? May: Fergus, you don't remember? Panel 3 Fergus isn't sure what she's talking about. Probably not anything too important. Fergus: Remember what? May: Back when your sleep got bad. Panel 4 Fergus suddenly does remember. It's like remembering something from an awful dream. May: You were upset with the kids. You... Uh... Burned some of their things.

Ex-psychiater Bram Bakker, die hem ruim tien jaar heeft behandeld, trekt dat laatste in twijfel. „Ik heb geen behandelrelatie meer met Javier, dus ik kan vrijuit praten”, zegt Bakker. „Na jarenlange aanmoediging van mijn kant om hem weer in het gareel te krijgen, heb ik uiteindelijk de stekker eruit getrokken. Javier is echt een dramatisch geval. Hij heeft zijn carrière zelf compleet om zeep geholpen. Hij heeft er een puinhoop van gemaakt.” Van Guzman is bekend dat hij in afkickklinieken heeft gezeten in onder meer Engeland, Thailand, Schotland en Spanje. Bakker: „Uiteindelijk zijn al die behandelingen op niets uitgelopen. Javier is een paar jaar geleden zelfs een keer op eigen initiatief naar de Jellinek in Amsterdam gegaan om zich te laten behandelen. Toen is hij ongeveer acht maanden nuchter en clean geweest. Het gaf mij, en ook zijn impresario, weer hoop. Maar daarna is hij tóch weer teruggevallen.” Bakker was tot eind 2021 actief als psychiater. In de laatste jaren van zijn loopbaan werkte hij hoofdzakelijk in de verslavingszorg en was hij medisch directeur bij een aantal verslavingsklinieken. „Ik vrees dat Javier helemaal in de goot is beland”, vervolgt hij. „Hij heeft geen inkomsten meer, geen theaterprogramma en in de liefde is hij ook niet succesvol. Als ik alle uren die ik aan Javier heb besteed zou declareren, dan hoefde ik voorlopig niet meer te werken.” Bakker denkt dat zijn ex-patiënt naar zijn verdere carrière kan fluiten. „Het is triest dat het zo met hem is afgelopen. Ik maak me wel zorgen om hem; hij zal toch aan zijn coke en drank moeten komen. Ik denk dat zijn situatie verre van hoopgevend is, maar ik heb geen trek meer om opnieuw met hem aan de slag te gaan. Dat is voor mij een zinloze missie. Het kost veel energie, maar levert niets op.”

If anyone else wants an Adobe Animate alternative, I can’t recommend Moho enough. It’s affordable, it’s efficient, it’s been used in feature films from Cartoon Saloon like Wolfwalkers, and the best part…NO Ai whatsoever.

I like it when I can do something to help people displaced by ICE and then after I do that thing I get to eat a pizza.
I want to let you know about something that happened at Pizza Luce and encourage you to thank and patronize them. One of the drivers at Parkway Pizza who is a friend of mine told me tonight about something that happened at the downtown Mpls Pizza Lucé where his wife works. A kitchen manager has been giving rides to workers afraid to take public transportation to work. Last week, two ICE SUVs pulled her over. There was a young Latina women in the car and ICE grabbed her. She is here legally, but apparently, if you are not white, you need to carry a passport or other documents with you. Despite the fact that she is here legally, ICE flew her to their detention facility outside of El Paso, TX. Fortunately, the owner of the Pizza Lucé chain paid for a lawyer to expedite her release. Unfortunately, when ICE is forced to release people they have unlawfully detained and flown to Texas, they do not fly them back. They just dump them on the streets of El Paso. But again, fortunately, the owner of Pizza Lucé paid for a plane ticket to fly her home. So please thank the folks at Pizza Lucé if you have the chance. Dozens of Minnesotans have not been so lucky as this woman and are trying to find their way back from Texas. Today's NY Times has a story about "Selamawit Mehari, an Eritrean single mother of three.... federal agents showed up at her apartment in St. Paul...(even though) her older daughter produced paperwork proving her mother was in the United States lawfully, the agents shackled Ms. Mehari and took her away." The story cites many like her who "were eventually released in Texas, leaving them to find their own way home."

Check of this stick! Panel 2 Hannah does agree that the stick is admirable but she is not one to be outdone. She has also found something interesting in the woods. Hannah: Yeah, that's cool. But is it cooler than this rock? She holds up a smooth oval shaped rock. It's one of those ones that would be amazing for skipping but you won't want to do it because it's so good. There's parts that sparkle in the sunlight. Rocks are cool. Gustopher: Let Liam decide! Panel 3 Liam is sitting on a stump and checking out the neat stick and rock that he has been asked to judge. next to him is a little bit of string. Foreshadowing is a literary device. This stick and rock are pretty sweet. Liam: They're both cool. But what if... Panel 4 Liam has read the wiki and knows the ancient art of crafting. He has tied the rock to the top of the stick which has increased the coolness factor and improves the stick's bludgeoning stats while providing +3 INT. Everyone is impressed. Hannah: Whoa! Liam: Magic staff. Gustopher: THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!
