After some heavy deliberation I am embarking on a pretty ambitious project. I am making a 1:20 miniature Whirling-in-Rags from Disco Elysium, starting with Harry’s room. But in true Za/um style I have written a manifesto.

I felt like 2025 was getting back into the groove of things, post 2023, I definitely felt a bit more avoidant in general but though some of that still remains, I think I've come back into a new 'form'.

The sofa bed is coming together nicely. The box frame and drawers are done. I plan on having the back of the sofa articulated back so that it can be folded out into a bed. I just need to fashion the right kind of hinge.

This week's WIP was more of a test and failure of the mini oil radiators that adorn Harry's room. Using a mixture of bamboo paddle pop sticks, plaplate and card stock. I couldn't replicate the puffy metal depth reminiscent of those radiators. #WIP #miniatures #ミニアチャ #diorama #ジオラマ #dollhaus

After reading Regen Melbourne's 2024 Annual Report, I was not crazy to see a link between Doughnut Economics and Reworlding. The Future Play Lab RMIT had been involved in one of their Earthshots and the Regen Melb's system lab does use the Doughnut model to measure how Melbourne is tracking.

For @samsorensen.bsky.social's #OVER/UNDER I created WEATHERVANE, an in-universe themed combat simulator. Using it, our faction was able to predict the outcome of any battle with a high degree of confidence. It helped us price mercenary contracts and go into any combat knowing the expected outcomes.

The hall tree was one of the weirder and interesting builds. Using a technique I've used previously for curved pipe, where I use Evergreen polystyrene tubing with wire run through it. Using hot water to help soften the tube to aid bending.
