Started the dishwasher last night before bed and now the kitchen sink is clogged.

Anyway I can’t wash dishes in the bathtub because I’m making gin in there, so I am hosing them off in the driveway.

Unrelated: My neighbors are acting weird today. Nobody stopping by to say hello. Averted gazes. Odd.

This isn’t really a spoiler, but in Starfleet Academy episode 2, my favourite Easter egg is only visible if you put the subtitles on. There is an exocomp that talks and its name is Almond Basket, following on from Peanut Hamper from Lower Decks. #StarfleetAcademy #StarTrekStarfleetAcademy

Just a reminder, for those of you who thought Republicans might’ve grown a spine: Yesterday, after posturing & hand wringing, they had the chance to put an end to Trump's illegal military operations in Venezuela.

They voted no.

Their cowardice only further emboldens Trump.

Pro tip: you can combine the time you spend screaming in anger and frustration and the time you spend crying in hopelessness and sadness into just a couple hours of scream-crying and save a lot of time for rocking back and forth in the corner and worrying, which is importance these days.

ICE should be aware of Castle Doctrine law, which for many states protecting individuals using deadly force for self-defense in their home, vehicle, or workplace against threats of death, serious bodily harm, kidnapping, or rape, without a duty to retreat.

In PA, this includes porches and vehicles.

Brooke Rollins: "We've run over 1,000 simulations. It can cost around $3 a meal for a piece of chicken, a piece of broccoli, corn tortilla, and one other thing. So there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money."

Keep buying crypto, dummies.
Eric Adams, former NYC mayor, launched a memecoin (cryptocurrency) today. He marketed it as an “NYC Token” and used media appearances and his social media to promote it.

Within hours, Adams then drained its liquidity, apparently having scammed investors out of $3.4 million—a move called a rug pull.

In conversation back in 1994, the late Russian environmentalist Alexi Yablokov explained the problem of rebuilding democracy this way:

"If you have a tank of live fish, it is fairly easy to make fish soup.

Once you have fish soup, however, it is very difficult to make a tank of life fish again."
