This is sad news. I wish I had known him longer. In our brief chats, I felt welcomed by his kindness and friendliness. And because of his efforts in the writing community here on Bluesky, I met many amazing and talented individuals. It’s a comfort to know he passed peacefully. He will be missed.
His widow, Cat, has invited friends to leave messages and donations in his memory to Macmillan, Matt's chosen charity. I've helped set up a memorial page so please feel free to share this to anyone who knew and loved him.

This is sad news. I wish I had known him longer. In our brief chats, I felt welcomed by his kindness and friendliness. And because of his efforts in the writing community here on Bluesky, I met many amazing and talented individuals. It’s a comfort to know he passed peacefully. He will be missed.

As I always do with boycotts, I urge: be tough with corporations, gentle with individual buyers. For some people, Black Friday sales are the way they get their kids jackets that fit, shoes that hold up to the weather. Yelling at them doesn’t help the cause.

Turkey is a very filling protein. We are eating leftovers for breakfast, and I’m full off of three deviled eggs, a stuffing muffin, and half of a turkey sandwich. 😅 Guess we’re taking the rest to-go!

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
