This tax writeoff has bipartisan support. It has existed for decades. All you have to do is turn your hobby into a business, and then make sure the business loses money. So you get to pursue your hobby AND not pay tax at the same time. Does the IRS investigate these so-called businesses? No.
Thoroughbred horses, auto racing, massive ranches, luxury hotels.

The hobbies and side businesses of the ultrawealthy create huge write-offs that can let them get away with paying little or no income tax for as much as a decade at a time.
