Playing some Final Fantasy X for the first time since my college days and realizing the game is a lot harder than I remember (more grinding for optional quests), or is it that I have less patience and free time?

Coming home to see that someone stole my e-bike from the garage, but they were nice enough to leave my helmet hung elsewhere. I guess it's fate telling me I need to work out more.

Incheon Airport T2 is gives me dystopian late capitalism feels: the walkways are incredibly long to transfer, the spokes are barren, luxury stores instead of cultural souvenirs or bookshops, and buy premium lounge access or be stuck with the few uncomfortable hard benches if not at your gate.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable.

Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes.

Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Can someone please explain to me like I'm a toddler why these white nationalists are obsessed over "western civilization" like it's some endangered culture (which they've wiped out plenty of native ones)? Do they fear karma?
JD Vance claims that efforts to suppress misinformation and hate speech "are going to destroy Western Civilization. They're gonna destroy Europe, and they would destroy the United States of America if we allowed them to fester. Thank God we have a president now who believes in free speech."

It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.
