If you like making love to music, put on a live album. That way, you get applause every two to four minutes.

Q. Can we fix it?

A. Not now that the orange menace has had his teeny-tiny little hands all over it. It's #FUBAR

A quick question - I have two "chats" but am unable to see them as I have not gone through any age verification process. Is it worth doing this? I'd like to know *who* messaged me so that I can decide whether to verify my age or not? And, is it safe? 1/2

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Pretty in Pink, Platoon, Little Shop of Horrors, Dogs in Space, Top Gun, Absolute Beginners, Children of a Lesser God, The Mission, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Malcolm, Playing Beatie Bow, Windrider, Aliens, Sid and Nancy...
I don’t know if this movie is appropriate for Valentine’s Day considering in that it is the story of a guy in love with a girl who kisses another guy in the parking lot after the prom.

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition.

Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...
Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology
She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

Tallulah, after whom my account is named; many years ago I signed onto Twitter under the same handle. Later I had an account named after another guinea pig, By-By.
I found Tallulah in a park on 10 November 2007 and she lived with us until her death on 5 October 2011 ❤️

There is too much formication in the lab today; I think all the hot weather has driven them inside. They keep climbing on, and biting, me - which I find very distracting

I love "obscure" words - veprecose (resembling a bush), frutescent (same), palintocy (money owed on a debt - such as interest) and aquabib (person who drinks water; name derisively given to a teetotaller). I adopted these words many years ago as a means of keeping obscure words in use.
