Disproportionate punishment towards Trans Women is unfortunately a very common pattern, and especially applies to anti-black transmisogyny/transmisogynoir. Many before me have commented on this, but I feel it’s always worth reminding people to stay vigilant and principled against that behavior.
Another aspect of the Needle News situation that has been really gross is just seeing a lot of known (& verified) trans people reveal how comfortable they are to target & unperson a Black Trans Woman that they see as Inherently Evil. It reveals deeper community issues many are unwilling to confront.
