Sat down to give FM26 a go at about 11am. It's 6:30pm and I've done nothing since. Uninstalled. I can't do this again.

Especially given how buggy it is. Here's my Swedish 2nd Division team for some reason winning a trophy after the first game of the season. In silence, because audio just...stops.

Decided to see how bad it could be.

Boots with no audio. Every selectable haircut seems to be a skin fade. Not that it matters, because I couldn't see my manager's head when choosing his hair anyway since the camera was zoomed all the way in on his ballsack the entire time.

I can’t even.

All copies are the same grade and price, but lucky me, I got the one with writing on the disc, an ink-stamped manual, and the wrong case.

In the same envelope as a copy of Black on PS2 with no manual.

Imagine if you met someone irl who kept talking like people do on here, throwing under the bus, kept the receipts, lives rent-free etc, you'd quite rightly punch them in the face

Had some credit left. Bought PSMove, PSMove gun attachments, a PS3 camera, Time Crisis, and HOTD Overkill. They will likely all arrive on fire or covered in cigarette burns or human excrement.

But then I will be free from CEX and will never do this again.

I can’t even see the logo without getting flashbacks. I only worked there for three years and the weekend dads, rich kids, and the deaf shoplifting gang made me hate society.

Doing one to three hours unpaid mandatory overtime per day didn’t help, either.
Who's on the cover of this 1992 Electronics Boutique game catalog scanned by VGHF? Why, it's EB mascot Elbo the dog. Hi, Elbo! https://archive.gamehistory.org/item/3e598ac1-b4bc-4f66-a8ba-6463d78782c1

In fairness, the BR player from CEX turned up and still had the Currys security tag intact so…that’s a win.

I mean, not for Currys, who have clearly been robbed. But…y’know.

CEX Roulette continues. Still more to come (including the BR player that was apparently shipped Saturday.)

Beat Down: No manual, scratched. £90 of SC5 Part 2: Scratched. Gitaroo Man: Scratched.

BRs look like somebody has been dragging their sweaty nutsack across them.

Hard to photograph, but DAMN, CEX. Every single game disc is in this condition.

I can get them cleaned up, but not everyone has a few grand’s worth of disc repair equipment in their house. YOU DO IN YOUR STORES, THOUGH. Lazy, cheap bastards.

Tin Tin Out - Strings for Yasmin just span in on shuffle. Always linked to what is probably the best football advert of all time, despite the poor pacing.

Turns out there was a second CEX delivery. Two PS2 games are missing manuals. Two have discs that I would consider borderline unsaveable due to the scratch depth.

PotC boxed set looks to have been kicked up and down the stairs.

I’ll admit this may have been a poor idea.

I can't even.

CEX Roulette continues. PS2 discs all need resurfacing. Couple of the BRs could do with it too. Beetle Racing box is clinging on for dear life.

Good job I’ve got a disc resurfacer. Weird I need to use it given that all their stores do, too.

CEX Roulette continues. The most expensive game I went for. It wasn’t described as ‘mint’ and it did have a protective case. Not amazing, but it’ll play.

The CEX haul begins. Seventeen packages still en route.

Nice 4TB upgrade for the Ally, an awesome steelbook of one of the top three movies of all time, and the world’s most sun faded copy of OutRun 2019.

66% hit rate.

I need to stop watching the random UK videogame collector videos that YouTube keeps recommending to me.

It makes me too angry.

It's a Dreamcast. A bog-standard PAL Dreamcast that was £150 because the box somehow doubles the price.

Saved you 27 minutes.

My father has an extremely thick West Country accent, takes four hours to tell a story, and has just discovered videos of Jethro doing standup on YouTube.

It’s not good.

Parents, acceptable children's ages are: <x> weeks up to 3 months. <x> months up to 1 year. Then you're onto years. I might allow "one and a half." After that, you can cut the nonsense.

Ain't nobody sane out here telling the world they've got a goddamned 23-month-old son.
