Sometimes old notes can be inspiring. I love that this day was practice dance in devil horns, make graphics for social democracy, and take a bubble bath. What a well-rounded day 😂

Ann Lowe was the Black genius behind Jackie Kennedy’s iconic wedding gown.

Before the fashion world was ready to credit a Black woman’s talent, Lowe was already designing for America’s most powerful families. Brilliant. Bold. Innovative. Undervalued. And nearly erased from history.

Anhedonia almost talked me out of it, but I decided to do a rewatch of Station Eleven while I crafted today. Got through ep 1-7. Still slaps. Highly recommend if you enjoy compelling/nuanced characters, brilliant acting, a score that nails both tense to empowering, and.. Crying. Must love crying.

Reading a book from the '20s is like navigating small talk for me: I see we are exclaiming! I detect an insinuation that I should know whether we are happy or sad! I will feel uncomfortable if I can't figure it out by your next sentence!

Frost: We need housing not handcuffs. We have a housing crisis in this country. Every time the rent goes up $100, homelessness goes up 9%… We shouldn’t be criminalizing homeless people for the failures of government
