With your help, we can turn polling figures into reality and get honest, hard-working politicians who’ll stand up for people and planet:

This is a very worthwhile 11 minute briefing on what's happening in North East Syria / Rojava, why it deserves to be MUCH MORE in the news and much higher on the UK Govt's priorities -- from @carneross.bsky.social, former British diplomat & former @greenparty.org.uk Foreign Affairs spokesperson.
What's happening in Syria right now matters to all of us. A women-led democracy is being destroyed; ISIS prisoners are being let loose. My video explainer on what's going on - feel free to share - youtu.be/Huh8cbZ6EjQ

I’ve seen first-hand the utter devastation road deaths cause — families shattered in seconds, lives permanently changed. To dismiss this as an “utter non-problem” is wrong and deeply offensive.

The acceptance of this devastation reflects a lack of knowledge and ambition. We can do so much better.
According to David Frost, a road casualty toll which involves an average of 80+ people *every single day* either dying or suffering injuries which could change their life forever is an "utter non-problem".

This is the post to read if you want to understand why autonomous cars are not the answer to transport in London.
#Helsinki achieved zero road deaths in a year—without autonomous vehicles on its streets.

They did it through road diets, car-free zones, and 30 km/h speed limits.

Not by flooding the streets with robotaxis. (Waymo isn't allowed in #Finland.)

To really save lives...
