Cherry stone grit does a much better job than sand of grinding the ice away as people walk or drive on it. And you can reuse it to some extent with mid season or spring sweeps.
I switched to cherry stone grit a few years ago and it’s the best by far.
I use the cherry stone grit when there's ice on the sidewalk. You can get a 50 lb bag at Ace Hardware for $12 and it lasts (at least for me) like three or four winters. www.acehardware.com/departments/...

Things that made my colonoscopy prep better this time: zofran antinausea meds, unflavored pedialyte, and a tushy bidet. While it still sucked, it was SO much better than without those things.
I think pineapple jello was my favorite this time, but that doesn’t mean I’m eating any of the leftovers!

This particular coffee cup was nowhere near Felix’s water bowl, but clearly he knows where all the things for drinking belong. Very kind of him to finish my coffee and also put it “away.”
