"This is a great opportunity to practice how to #float on your back."
Kasseh looked stricken.
"It's going to be alright, my love," Cecelia laughed, holding her hand. "I'll be right here with you and I promise I won't let you sink."
She put a hand on her waist. "Now just lean back…" (3/3) #wss366

"Come see!" Cecelia said, holding out her hand.
Kasseh reluctantly stepped into the water. She shivered at first, but then as she waded further she said, marveling, "It's cold at the surface, but warmer underneath."
"That's what happens when it's calm like this," Cecelia said. (2/3) #wss366

At the top, he set her on her feet. Once again, he opened his mouth to say goodnight.
"May I trouble you for just another moment?" she said, forestalling him.
Her #room was right at the top of the stairs. She unlocked the door and invited him in.
He took a deep breath and followed her. (3/3) #wss366

"Would you please assist me up the stairs?" she said. "My feet are sore after the evening's festivities."
Once again, he put a hand under her arm, but when she stumbled on the first step, he swept her up in his arms and carried her lightly up the stairs. (2/3) #wss366

She took small sips and, after a few moments, her color returned.
"Better?" he asked.
"Much better. Yes. Thank you." She got to her feet.
"Are you ready to rejoin the #fray?"
She took his arm and looked up at him with a fetching smile. "After you, Milord." (4/4) #wss366

"You're probably not used to being on your feet for so long," Curtiss murmured. "You'll be fine with a little rest and water."
The waiter arrived with the glass of water. Curtiss helped her take the glass and steadied her arm while she drank. (3/4) #wss366

He stepped away for moment to flag down a waiter and request a glass of water. Then he returned and knelt down by the sofa. She was leaning forward with her eyes closed.
"Are you quite alright, Milady?"
"Yes. I'm fine. I just felt faint for a moment." (2/4) #wss366

I am not claiming that finding “work worth doing” will make it easier to pay the rent or put food on the table.

My claim is that finding (and doing) "work worth doing" helps the mental health issues.
Mental health, not economics
My brother suggests that I missed the point in my recent post, where I claimed that being depressed about work is nothing new, and that finding work worth doing was the solution. I beg to differ. ...

He laid them on his bunk and got the iron that the men kept on the stove.
"Oh! I'd wondered what that thing was!" Curtiss said
Roughneck sighed again. He expertly ironed the creases on first one pant leg and then the other.
"Hang 'em up right next time!"
"I will," Curtiss said. "Thank you." #wss366

"Does it matter?" Curtiss asked.
Roughneck sighed.
"Don't you know how to hang up pants?"
Curtiss, who had always had servants attend to his wardrobe, could only shake his head.
"The #crease won't fall straight. You'll need to iron 'em."
"Iron them?"
"Hand 'em over!" Roughneck barked. (2/3) #wss366
