“There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.” — Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor.

If you read one thing today, read Mr. Graff’s chapter with writings from German scientists and scholars in the 1930s. History matters and the parallels to today should not be ignored.
As I worked over the winter on my new book, there was one chapter that felt particularly heavy—the accounts of Jewish refugee scientists fleeing Hitler's Europe and how democracy succumbed to fascism. Much of this feels too familiar right now: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/fleeing-on...

Look, I know we're all sick of hearing "if this had happened with any other president ..." but it's absolutely true and absolutely can't be forgotten.

For some reason, this nation gives this idiotic spoiled brat a free pass from things that would destroy the administration of any other person.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

Who knew that something that QAnon believed could turn out to be true.

Just thinking again how Democrats asked people to accept short-term suffering in order to give space to prevent long-term, worse suffering and then said, "Thanks for suffering in the short-term. You'll get to suffer long-term too so that our Thanksgiving plans don't get disrupted."

As if this man has ever set foot in a Walmart. Meanwhile at Mar-a-Lago this weekend, Trump and his guests enjoyed a majestic seafood spread.
President Trump has pointed to the cost of Walmart’s Thanksgiving meal bundle, which is roughly 25% less expensive this year than it was last year, as an example of the economy experiencing a “golden age.”

But the 2025 Thanksgiving bundle is also smaller than the 2024 package.

Since Tuesday's elections, Trump has repeatedly boasted that Walmart's Thanksgiving meal bundle is cheaper than it was under President Joe Biden. But there's also less food in it.

The current GOP lie is that they’re going to replace Obamacare with something better.

Bullshit. In all of the majorities they’ve had since Obamacare passed, they’ve never once tried to replace it.

They’ve tried to repeal it a whole bunch, but never actually make it better.

Classic narcissistic personality—NOTHING is ever their fault. It’s always your fault or someone else’s fault.
"It's their fault. Everything is their fault. It's so easily solved" Trump says yet again. Everything is always someone else's fault, never his. Whether it's Biden, Obama, Pelosi or Schumer, someone else is always responsible for the messes he creates.

There were many things I did wrong when I raised my children but one thing I know for sure that I did right: reading to my children. I believe that reading to children sets them up for success in school and life in a way that nothing else can do.
Today is National Family Literacy Day. This year it seems more important than ever to get kids to read and to be curious so we have a future generation of intelligent and intellectually curious adults more likely to have empathy for those different from ourselves!
