I think that something a lot of Centrist Dem candidates and lawmakers don't get is that their constituents understand the message when they announce who their acceptable losses are.
That message being that they are willing to discard those they are supposed to serve if they think it will buy power.

One of the things that stuck with me was that collaborators frequently showed up dead, killed by the Nazis when they decided they were no longer useful.

If (and I do think we all know why I say if) there is enough government left to salvage on the other side of all of this, one of the things that needs to be done is for there to be a sweeping reform eliminating all laws that allow for the elimination of due process. Yes, under any circumstances.
