Always grateful for the folks who put their bodies on the line out there against any police action but especially this nonsense. it's especially heartening in the face of the attempt to criminalize those were taken, to make them disposable.

Just heard about this huge (49 state) long covid trial using tirzepetide (aka zepbound) one of the newer glp meds. It’s run by researchers at scripps, funded by the eric & wendy schmidt foundation. It looks like it is still enrolling, fully remote participation:

I see people claiming the head tax is going to public libraries, but as far as we’ve been told- it isnt. The good news is, our lackluster book budget may be restored. The bad news? We’re still facing 89 positions cut. After 52 positions were cut last year. That’s 11% of our workforce!
