It’s hard not to believe that Luxon’s move to dump regional councils isn’t just another way to remove obstacles to rampant corporate profit making at our expense.

More emissions, more pollution more contaminated drinking water, more intensive dairy, more roads and less accountability.

Pardons for sale, get your fresh hot pardons for sale...

Yes, you have to pay the convicted fraudsters to get your presidential pardon, but that's how the United States of America sells 'em now:

Nursing home magnate Joseph Schwartz was sentenced in April to three years for defrauding the government of $38 million. Seven months later, Trump pardoned him, but the White House denies a lobbying t...

The question of asset sales seens to arise three or four years after tax cuts.

2010: tax cuts
2014: partial asset sale of powercos & AirNZ

2024: tax cuts
2026/27: asset sales? (If Nats win next year)

The reason is blindingly obvious: tax cuts means less tax revenue.Nats have to make up shortfall.

Please get out and vote in your state and local elections today.

The presidential elections aren’t the only ones that matter.

Love how National proudly opposed the Treaty Principles Bill, and wore it like a badge of honour.

Then basically rolled it out anyways. They’re dismantling and removing anything that honours the treaty, and undermining Māori.

Without consultation too like yesterday.
Depressing.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.
