The Trump administration announced it intended to restore changes to the ESA, a move quickly criticized as ensuring a death sentence to countless species.

The new regulations include changes that will eliminate protections afforded to threatened species under Section 4(d) of the Act. bit.ly/3XJbkDP

Received an invitation to UMaine’s Golden Key International Honour Society. Was pretty wary at first, taking a sort of “thanks, no thanks” attitude towards it, but honestly I’d be a fool to bat away an opportunity like that.

Message from the heart:

What’s happening in our Country is an abomination. It’s overwhelming.

At the same time, many people are dealing with personal issues such as loss of a loved one, bad health news, financial issues, relationship struggles, abuse. These are hard things in normal times.

Finally getting all good and settled into the standard dorms. I liked the summer dorms, but these are such much better.

Here’s to another semester at UMaine.

It’s International Cat day!
🌎🐾🐅🐆🐈🐈‍⬛🐾🌏

While there are specific days for specific cats, today is all about celebrating the strength and majesty of all cats around the world!

While our domestic companions, Felis catus, deserve our attention, let’s also focus on their wild siblings and cousins!

It’s weird having this tiny little account. It’s here for a reason but I’m not great at standing on a soap box or speaking outwardly. I’m much better at “sharing things at a water hole”. Maybe that’s how I have to look at it.

I really need to remember that I have this account more often. Not that I have many people to share with, I’m screaming from an enclosure into an equally small exhibit, but I still want to use it, you know?

Things have been messy and busy, but in a good way! Finally a mammalogy student at UMaine!
