I and millions of Americans believe exactly the same thing Kasparov does.

Too many troops, too many new prisons, too much money not under Congressional supervision.

We're not just witnessing a mass deportation scheme anymore.

This is something significantly bigger and scarier.

“When less than 1% of farm employers are investigated every year, they can act with impunity, knowing that there is a very low likelihood that they will ever be investigated,” one expert said.
The Dramatic Rise of Farm Labor Contractors Has Led to Rampant Abuses. Here’s Why Regulators Have Failed to Stop Them.
Experts say there aren’t enough state and federal inspectors to adequately vet whether labor contractors who oversee farmworkers are following the rules. Nor is there broad political support to invest...

NEW: A federal judge in Oregon issued a sweeping rebuke of the Justice Department’s nationwide push to seize state voter rolls, ruling that the department can no longer be presumed to be acting in good faith and warning that its conduct threatens voters and states’ rights.
Federal judge rules DOJ can ‘no longer’ be trusted in voter roll crusade
The judge pointed to a letter from Bondi to Minnesota that tied federal immigration enforcement to demands for voter data as the smoking gun.

So Elon Musk is suddenly very publicly angry at Russia—for the first time ever—*just* as we find out that the honeypot operation that almost ensnared him (and that he has, in any case, had his reputation further destroyed by) was a Kremlin production?

That... well, actually that tracks.

In Printz v. United States, #SCOTUS held that the Constitution bars the federal government from forcing or otherwise compelling local or state governments to enforce federal law.

The liberal squish who wrote the majority opinion in that case? Justice Antonin Scalia:

I keep on blaring my tiny horn: Congress needs to (criminally) investigate the Trump Administration’s investigations. It is odd, CPB—the very agency whose agents *appeared* to murder a man…is investigating this as a “procedure” violation. It is odd DHS is investigating Alex Pretti for his own death.
Over at Public Notice, @lizdye.bsky.social explains how the Trump administration is making sure that the agents involved in the murder of Alex Pretti are never prosecuted.
The investigation is the coverup
Trump's "pivot" on Pretti is just a head fake.
