It's about time I posted this here. PNGTuber art by @spicastellaris.bsky.social, based on character design by @kitomori.bsky.social !
I think what helped me immensely was that I was in an environment where I felt comfortable asking my classmates to help me understand things I didn't quite get, and was happy to help them in turn when they needed it.
A note on learning physics ⚛️ for starting PhD students:
At the risk of saying something completely useless because everyone has it worked out
There is no magic trick, your classmates *may* be faster than you, but they are still studying as long as they need to and you are quite capable of the same

I almost got into $15k of debt for laser hair removal because the salesperson was (in hindsight) terrifyingly good at using gender affirmation as marketing.
I think I want to be told I'm pretty, but if someone tells me I'm pretty the first thought is "you are flattering me so you can eventually sell me a time-share"

There's no way I'm getting this job, but seeing this post made me wonder if I had done any translation work, and like a stroke of lightning I remembered that I worked on Zelda manga Korean fan translations when I was like 14~15. What a trip down memory lane :')
For example, in this screenshot from Crysis Wiki, the North Korean army insignia says "한국 인민군", which *does* translate to "Korean People's Army", except "한국" is a name for Korea that is used in South Korea, and never in North Korea, effectively making this mean the "Republic of Korea People's Army".
