As someone with a fear of death that sometimes gives me panic attacks, I think what I fear more than death is said fear turning me into someone I don't want to be. Becoming a billionaire seems almost a surefire way to transform like that. I hope never to be cursed with that much power.

One caveat being that there was a tendency for whoever is asking for help to call themselves "stupid" and the ones helping "geniuses". Mostly as a joke, but I'm sure constantly calling ourselves "stupid" may have affected our self perception.

Like sure, maybe it's embarrassing that I don't know something, but at least I'm trying to correct that.

The fear of asking "stupid" questions has followed me even after getting a PhD, but I think more often than not whatever embarrassment I may feel from asking such a question tends to be worth it.
