in all seriousness though, there are two types of FS fans that are absolutely insufferable to me, and it's 1. people who are preening assholes about the difficulty 2. people who are super into lore but won't get silly about it. in that order
casuals play DS to feel like a very special video games boy, but the real fans who actually understand it (me) are playing because they see a big tall knight in full armor and go 😍

I've said it 100 times but I genuinely blame Namco Bandai and this trailer for over a decade of stupid shitheaded attitudes about these games. Before this trailer came out I remember people chatting about DeS and figuring out new ways to cheese bosses from outside the fog wall and everybody loved it

felt the urge to build my childhood best friend's house in the Sims as I remember it because her dad's side of the family evicted her and her mom and tore it down over 15 years ago after her dad and grandpa died. and i'm still so so so mad about that, i will never get over it
